Terms and Conditions

for CAPE KINDRED TOURS

Please note;
Prices are estimates and may vary depending on individual preferences and exchange rates.

Please review the following Terms and Conditions carefully before booking. By booking a tour, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.

1. BOOKINGS AND RESERVATIONS

  • All bookings must be confirmed in writing via email or through our official booking platform.
  • A booking is only considered legally confirmed once the required deposit or full payment has been received and acknowledged by CAPE KINDRED TOURS.
  • Clients are responsible for providing accurate personal and contact information at the time of booking. CAPE KINDRED TOURS is not liable for errors resulting from incorrect data provided by the client.

2. PAYMENTS AND PRICING

  • A 50% deposit is required to secure any booking.
  • Full payment must be made 14 days prior to the tour date.
  • Failure to settle the balance within the specified timeframe may result in the automatic cancellation of the booking without further notice.
  • All prices are quoted in South African Rand (ZAR) and are subject to change without prior notice.
  • Quotes provided in USD are based on the exchange rate (ROE) on the day of quotation.
  • The final ZAR amount payable may be adjusted to reflect the ROE at the time of final payment.
  • If Cape Kindred Tours cancels a tour, a full refund will be provided, or guests may opt for a rescheduled tour.

3. CANCELLATIONS AND REFUNDS

Cancellations must be made in writing.
Cancellation fees apply as follows:

  • Groups 14 days : 25% refund
  • 7 days or less: No refund
  • No-Show Policy: 100% non-refundable

Weather-Related Policies (Hiking & Table Mountain)

Safety is our absolute priority. If the Table Mountain Aerial Cableway is closed or conditions are unsafe:

  • An alternative hiking route (e.g., Lion’s Head circumference) will be offered.
  • If the activity is cancelled entirely by the guides due to weather, a 75% refund will be issued.
  • The guides retain full authority to terminate a tour early if weather conditions deteriorate during the hike.

No refunds will be issued for no-shows or unused services.

4. SAFETY, HEALTH AND CONDUCT

  • All guests must strictly adhere to the safety instructions provided by the guide.
  • Guests must inform Cape Kindred Tours of any medical conditions or physical limitations that may affect their participation.
  • We reserve the right to refuse participation to any individual who appears intoxicated, under the influence of illegal substances, or who poses a safety risk to themselves or others.
  • Guests are expected to respect local cultures, the environment, and fellow participants. Inappropriate behaviour may result in immediate removal from the tour with no refund.

5. LIABILITY WAIVER

  • Cape Kindred Tours and its affiliates are not responsible for any injury, illness, death, loss, or damage to a person or personal property during the tour.
  • Participation in the tour activities are at the guest’s own risk.
  • All participants are required to sign a standard Liability Waiver and Indemnity Form prior to the commencement of the tour.

6. TRAVEL INSURANCE

  • We strongly recommend that all guests have comprehensive travel insurance to cover medical expenses, loss of personal belongings, and trip cancellations.

7. PHOTOGRAPHY AND MARKETING

  • By participating, you consent to Cape Kindred Tours taking photographs or video footage for promotional and marketing purposes.
  • If you do not wish to be photographed, please notify your guide in writing before the tour begins.
  • We handle all personal information in accordance with the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).

8. FORCE MAJEURE

  • Cape Kindred Tours is not liable for delays, cancellations, or failures in performance resulting from events beyond our reasonable control, including natural disasters, strikes, civil unrest, or government restrictions.

9. GOVERNING LAW

  • These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any disputes arising shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the South African courts.
